Description
This rare children’s cup was designed by Marianne Westman in the 50s or 60s for Swedish brand Rörstrand.
Its a white tumbler featuring a chicken with her eggs and chicks.
It does have some wear and fading as you can see by looking at the rooters eye. There is also a couple small lines of crazing that are not super visible – one is above the rooters head and has left a small stain on the inside of the mug, likely where water has leached through the crack.
It also has a small yellow marking on one of the eggs, and a small stain inside the mug.
I wouldn’t use this piece for food or drink, because most vintage pottery pieces have lead in them.
This looks super cute as a decor piece, or looks great with a mini cactus in it 🙂
